Welcome to Skipping Through Theatre, the podcast where we celebrate the magic, creativity, and stories behind the world of stage and screen!

Hosted by Maddie and Nathan, Skipping Through Theatre is a place for theatre lovers, performers, and creatives to share their stories and inspire the next generation of young people. Through conversations with performers, creatives, and industry professionals, we explore the journeys behind the shows, films, and projects we love, while discovering what it takes to bring stories to life.

Our aim is to inspire young people to be creative, follow their dreams, and discover the opportunities that the world of stage and screen can offer. We want to encourage the next generation of performers, writers, directors, and creatives by sharing real stories from people working in the industry.

Since launching, we’ve been proud to create a platform that celebrates young voices, encourages creativity, and brings listeners closer to the people who entertain and inspire audiences around the world.

We are an award-winning podcast, having won Young Creative at the 2026 YouthTV Aspire Awards — recognising our creativity, dedication, and contribution to the community.

Maddie

Maddie is one of the hosts of the Skipping Through Theatre podcast and has a huge passion for all things musical theatre. Alongside her love for the stage, she enjoys dancing and ballet and attends weekly theatre school classes, where she loves developing her performance skills and creativity. She also has private singing lessons, helping her continue to grow in confidence and experience as a performer.

Maddie enjoys discovering new shows, talking about the West End, and interviewing performers from across the theatre industry.

Through the podcast, she helps create a fun and welcoming space where theatre fans can share their passion for theatre and hear exciting behind the scenes stories.

Nathan

Nathan is one of the hosts of the podcast Skipping Through Theatre and has a huge passion for all things musical theatre. He enjoys performing and attends a weekly theatre school, where he loves developing his confidence and performance skills. Nathan also takes singing lessons and dance classes, helping him continue to grow as a performer.

Alongside hosting the podcast, he edits the episodes, manages the social media accounts, and helps with the admin side of the podcast. He enjoys discovering new shows, talking about theatre, and interviewing performers from across the industry.
